Taking in the Big Show. Pale Katie took her paper umbrella and went down the PCH to Surf City to see the pros carve it up at the U.S. Open of Surfing. A little of the nice day is an entry at sanosurf.com. Especially enjoyable: perfect weather, the company of good friends, the smooth surf-stylings of Rob Machado and seeing a surfer from Brazil score a perfect 10 with a long snap-filled ride that went through the massive pier pilings twice!
